31st Musiques Métisses Festival

31st edition: the age of maturity for a festival that once again affirms its commitments with the artists, and also with the audience.
For 2006, one of the aims of Musiques Métisses is to amplify its action as a cultural and artistic promoter, and to strengthen and develop its links with local partners, in order to produce projects filled with a stronger content and more coherence.
Beyond musical discoveries, Musiques Métisses 2006 means even more creation, sharing, and conviviality.

The Festival's Village
The place to be for all festival-goers! The Village, on the "Ile de Bourgines" is this special place where conviviality, social diversity and muticulturalism are the main ingredients. Admission to the Village is free of charge! See you there at the opening on Wednesday 24th May at 6 p.m.!

"Musiques Métisses in May"
Musiques Métisses also features some residences and decentralized concerts which will take place before the actual Festival, out of the Bourgines Island.
In the Poitou-Charentes region, the Charente department, and the Great Angoulême area, 16 residences of artists and 15 gigs are programmed between April 24th and May 23rd.
